Decopage

I just love decopage so have decided to do my rocking chair. It is a family heirloom and is looking a bit on the shabby old side so I think this new lease of life is perfect!
I have only just made a start but here it is! will repost with the finished pic!

Another unfinished project

I have started to decorate my spare room and I have started this picture to go on the wall. I used my new texture paste and mod roc for the first time and am very happy with the results!
I cant decide how to finish off the background!!

Valentines Day

Yipee, my favourite day of the year!!! I got a lovely dozen red roses! gorgeous! and had the most lovely dinner with hubby. We followed our 11 year tradition of cooking for each other. I do starter and dessert and he does main
this year the menu was:

stufferd mushrooms
Rack of lamb with sweet potato puree and balsamic vegetables
trio of desserts (lime and ginger cheesecake, raspberry sorbet and chocolate ganache)

as always I was too busy enjoying myself to take photos and only remembered to take on of the desert! but here it is anyway:

I was quite proud of the result!!

And it tasted yummy as you can see of the lack of it left afterwards!!!

Joshua had his own little valentines meal too with his girlfriend Cara:

 Bless them. There menu was cheese on toast deluxe al a souce tomato

and for yogurt for dessert! all washed down with juice de Apple.

he even got a card with his two favourite people on!!!!

Baby Massage

Phew, finally my baby massage case studies are finished!! Just got the write up to do now and send off!! During my final session Joshua decided to help out!!

Joshuas Big boy room

Hi, I have been working on Joshuas new room and I am finally finshed!! stupidly I forgot to take before pictures so cant show you what it did look like but I am very happy with the results!!

I painted the grass on the back wall and bought some wall stickers . As you can see he has a gorgeous wooden thomas bed! He loves it!

I painted some old furniture (actually my husbands when he was a kid!) that has been sitting in the in laws garage for years! it was old MFI black chipboard but it took the thomas blue and James red paint very well! I intend to get some new handles for the drawers too at some point. The cabinet next to the wardrobe was a tv table. Once painted I covered the top with clear sticky backed plastic so as to stop Joshua chipping the paint.

I painted the outside of an old bookcase and used an old ikea table as a play table. (I may paint this one day!)

Joshua loves numbers so I decided to give him a number wall. I took the numbers out of some play mats (which were annoying anyway as the numbers kept falling out!!) they have a lovely tactile surface

Im hoping he wont pull them off (like he has done to some of the stickers....tut!)
